Plume XLVI

£90.00

My Plume series is inspired by the beautiful symbolism of finding a feather and being reminded of a special bond with a loved one.

In Celtic symbolism, feathers represent truth, hope, purity, and connection with the spiritual realm. Feathers are used in Native American ceremonies to cleanse, heal and bring balance. In Christianity, feathers are associated with protection and guardian Angels.

“He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings, you will find refuge.” – Psalm 91:4

Plume XLVI
30x40cm acrylic on deep edged box canvas.

For this fluid acrylic piece, I created a split background combining a delicate lacing effect alongside more linear cells. The feather is suspended between these two diagonal areas to create a sense of balance. I used a subtly iridescent soft green combined with a deep blue to add contrast and definition.

Signed on the front in metallic bronze paint with date, title, and signature on the reverse
